• The goal of the project is to promote sustainability in urban environments by reconfiguring the management of goods and services deliveries through a radical shift in last-mile delivery methods, implementing Sustainable Delivery Communities (SDCs).

This system is based on a new “fixed” variable routing reservation algorithm and a delivery management software platform, which make it possible to control how packages are delivered to recipients, with the aim of handling high-volume deliveries at a cost 75% lower than current last-mile options.

The aim is to encourage and promote sustainable practices in the sector by providing a set of direct benefits: greater efficiency in parcel flows, an improved user experience (UX), gamification to raise awareness, more sustainable deliveries, reduced delivery-van traffic, a scalable solution, and the drive for structural change in last-mile logistics.
